Isn't it Amazing....

Hello!  Hope everyone had a great New Year's!  I know we sure did!  I thought of this blog post last night after I got out of the shower and was getting ready for bed....

-isn't it amazing how MUCH having babies can mess with your body?  I mean really, the stretch marks, saggy boobs (just keeping real folks), change in hair/skin, etc is most DEFINITELY not in "What To Expect When You are Expecting".  At least it wasn't in my copy....

-isn't it amazing how fast a clean house can become a complete DISASTER thanks to having kids and all their toys/stuff/junk

-isn't it amazing how different life changes when you go from being a family of 2 to 3 or more??  WOAH!  Eating out takes on a whole new meaning....especially now that my kids can eat an adult meal now!!

-isn't it amazing how you blink your eyes and they have outgrown their clothes & shoes and you just bought them new stuff like 2 months ago??

-isn't it amazing how you sit down on the couch for the first time that day only to hear, "MOOOOOM".  You get up, go to their room, only for them to say, "I forgot my question!!"  *sigh*

-isn't it amazing how QUIET it is riding in the car after dropping the kids off at school.  You yearn for silence, then when you have it, it's uncomfortable?  Go figure!

I could go on and on and on, but I won't.

As I went in to check on the kids like I do every night, I was struck with these thoughts:

-isn't it amazing that these precious babies are M.I.N.E.?!?!!

-isn't it amazing that they love me unconditionally and know that love is returned??

-isn't it amazing that GOD blessed me with such beautiful children to teach me so many life lessons??

-isn't it amazing how quickly we can take the most important people in our lives for granted??

So really, isn't it amazing how even though they drive me completely batty sometimes, I wouldn't trade one.single.stretch mark for the miracles I was lucky enough to have??

I was going through some old pictures today and wanted to share some from when the kids were little...definitely a trip down memory lane for me.  That blink of an eye and they go from toddling around to half-grown in an instant!

I had a TON more of Sydni and not so many of Dylan...he went through a phase where this was all I got when I tried to take pictures of him : /

And lastly, this picture is so SWEET!!  My baby loving on his babies..goes by WAY too fast :(

Til next time...
